Posted by Landon Ewaniuk on April 20, 2012 at 1:45 PM

"Martin Brodeur sets playoff shoutout record"/> Martin Brodeur has always had the ability to bounce back after a bad game. This is just one of the many qualities that make the New Jersey Devils goaltender the best in NHL history. Brodeur did it again Thursday night, coming off his shortest post-season performance to being back in vintage form. Martin Brodeur made 26 saves as his New Jersey Devils blanked the Florida Panthers 4-0 the series is now deadlocked at two games apiece.

With the victory, the 39-year-old Brodeur now stands alone as the NHL playoff shutout leader with 24 to his name. Brodeur takes over the record that was held by Patrick Roy for nine seasons. Zach Parise, Steve Bernier, Travis Zajac and Ilya Kovalchuk scored for New Jersey. Ultimately helping Martin Brodeur into the record books, yet again! Congratulations, on yet another milestone.
