Hockey News Fantasy: Shawn Horcoff

Posted by Landon Ewaniuk on September 22, 2010 at 2:07 PM

After a season in which Shawn

Horcoff lost a number of loyal fans due to his 36-point year, at a $5.5 million cap-hit, I'm here to say: fans will fall in love with him again this season.

Horcoff is the luckiest man in "Oil Country," blessed with the opportunity to centre two super rookies: Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle; it should be ano-brainer, that his numbers will return to at least respectable.

I'll take this one step further; I believe Horcoff will hit a NHL career high 75-Points this season!

Even if the guy doesn't play with the rookies all season-- he will have what I hope is a healthy  Ales Hemsky back in the line-up, who is a nice second option.

And after seeing the magic of last night (between Horcoff & Hall), this pick is a win-win for me.

I was a Horcoff hater myself last season.(who was not?)

I hope what I have envisioned here comes true. Having Horcoff back in the fold will go a long way to getting out of last place...

Horcoff will never be worth that much money. He`s a 2 center at best, and despite good leadership, he just can`t produce enough to be any more than that...
