According to the Vancouver Province, Shane Doan has a contract worked out with the Phoenix Coyotes worth $21.5 million over four years.  the amount is considerably less than the ones room or to be made by the Vancouver Canucks and the Buffalo Sabres. Reportedly, Buffalo offered $30-million over a four-year term. 

I am one of those guys still mad that the Edmonton Oilers made Steve Kelly their man, instead of Doan in 1995.   Shane Doan is the only original Winnipeg Jets on the Phoenix roster, you have to admire his loyalty to the troubled franchise.1198 games played with the same team ( 318 G 470 A 788 P).  

I hope a deal to finalize the Phoenix ownership situation can be reached, so that Shane Doan can have his ultimate wish and retire a Phoenix Coyote.
