Anders Lindback is now a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning
We can probably remove the Tampa Bay Lightning from the potential Roberto Luongo-trade equation.
After trading three draft picks and goalie Sebastien Caron to the Nashville Predators for netminder Anders Lindback, forward Kyle Wilson and a pick, the Tampa Bay club appears to be set in net for 2012-13. After spending the last two years stuck behind Pekka Rinne, Lindback will finally get the chance to earn the No. 1 role of which many believe he's capable.
"We believe Anders will join the team and give us a nice lift at the goaltending position as we prepare for the 2012-13 season," Lightning GM Steve Yzerman said of the towering 24-year-old. "He has the potential to develop into the No. 1 goaltender we covet."
With veteran Mathieu Garon under contract for another year, we can look forward to the Lindback/Garon tandem through 2012-13 (heavy on the Lindback).
Goalies Dustin Tokarski, Riku Helenius, Jaroslav Janus and Pat Nagle remain members of the Lightning organization, at present. Poised to become an unrestricted free agent, veteran Dwayne Roloson won't be re-signed.

If it works out the Tampa Bay Lightning will be a very dangerous hockey club as goaltending was their only glaring weakness. If you are a fantasy hockey manager, you must keep Anders Lindback in mind, with the trade his stock has shot up. this is a kid who had a line-up of interested parties. Good on the Tampa Bay Lightning to address their number one concern early in the off-season.
The Nashville Predators did well for themselves getting a bundle of picks in return.
