On Saturday afternoon, the Washington Capitals superstars game to play, Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom and Mike Green all found their names on the score-sheet at games end to even their Eastern Conference semifinal series 2-2 with the New York Rangers.

This was a "must-win" game for the Washington Capitals on home-ice. No member of the Capitals wanted to be down 3-1 heading to New York.

To me, the Washington Capitals played a perfect playoff game. Right from the start, I knew, this team would be hard to beat, out-shooting the Rangers 14-3 in the first. --The Capitals should have had a substantial lead -- Fortunately, for the New York Rangers, Alex Ovechkin was the only one to crack Henrik Lundqvist.

In the second, it was the Artem Anisimov show. Anisimov scored 1:10 into the period and also added an assist on Marian Gaborik's goal. Sandwiched in between Nicklas Backstrom tallied his second of the playoffs. Game tied 2-2.

Mike Green scored a power-play goal with 5:47 left in the third period as the Capitals defeated the Rangers 3-2. Capitals' stars step-up to even series with Rangers. Another huge reason, the Washington Capitals, managed to even the series, the shot-blocking totals 26-7!
