A star-studded show of solidarity, if you will.

The NHL Players' Association won't hold back on unleashing the star-power in presenting it's proposal for a new collective bargaining agreement to the league Tuesday. David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period suggests as many as 25 players -- including several superstars -- will participate when labor talks resume in Toronto.

RDS' Renaud Lavoie suggests those in attendance will include Alex Ovechkin, Sidney Crosby, and Steven Stamkos.

The NHLPA is expected to take different approach with it's proposal altogether -- an "alternate view", according to executive director Donald Fehr.

Talks are set to resume at 11am EST.

According to sources with the PA, instead of trying get the league's proposed wage rollback of 24 per cent down to 12 per cent or get free agency from 10 years to seven, where it stands currently -- instead of negotiating against themselves, in other words -- the PA has a grander vision in mind ..."

I'm hearing a lot about a  luxury tax -- as means of revenue sharing -- in place of a hard salary cap.
