There will be a Game 7 on Saturday night at 7:30 PM Eastern time between the New York Rangers and Washington Capitals to decide who advances to the Eastern Conference Final.

22-year-old, Lloydminster Saskatchewan native, Braden Holtby once again played a starring role making 30 saves and the Washington Capitals 2-1 victory over the top-seeded New York Rangers Wednesday night.

With the victory, Holtby's record after a loss this season remains perfect at 11-0, including two elimination games in the postseason.

Alex Ovechkin did his part, netting a one-timer from the high slot just a 1:28 into the contest on the power -play. Jason Chimera a player who enjoy a career year with the Washington Capitals provided the insurance marker midway through the second stanza.

Once again, the Washington Capitals blocked a ton of shots, 24 total. Braden Holtby keeps the Washington Capitals alive the only shot that beat this kid was the Rangers last of the game. A slapper by Marian Gaborik with 50 seconds remaining.

Fortunately, for the Capitals, they were able to hold off the Rangers long enough on home-ice to force a deciding game in New York. I'm sure everybody will be intensely following the action on Saturday.
